Darkest Dungeon II “Curse of the Court” free update gets a new trailer
Back in July, Darkest Dungeon creators Red Hook Studios announced that Curse of the Court, the third and final Kingdoms adventure module for Darkest Dungeon II, will be launching sometime in the future for Switch. The PC release date is set for Aug. 28th, so hopefully the Switch release will be soon thereafter. For now, you can check out the latest trailer for this DLC above.
Curse of the Court introduces an all-new enemy faction called Bloodsuckers to Darkest Dungeon II – a group of vampiric enemies marking their return after first premiering in Darkest Dungeon’s DLC: The Crimson Court. Additionally, the module will feature three new Kingdoms maps for players to explore, a brand new questline, new achievements and a unique Curse function that will impact gameplay.
“Curse of the Court is the third adventure module for the DD2 Kingdoms mode. Just like the preceding two, this update adds new items, mechanics, and a harmful host of fresh horrors to contend with…all packaged up into yet another FREE update. At this point, the amount of complimentary content packed into Darkest Dungeon II is verging on delinquent! We genuinely hope our players enjoy the return of the Bloodsuckers!” – Chris Bourassa, Creative Director, Type O +
Kingdoms is a free game mode that introduces a fresh, reimagined structure alongside three adventure modules—starting with Hunger of the Beast Clan, followed by Secrets of the Coven and now Curse of the Court. Unlike the original Confessions mode, Kingdoms tasks players with defending the realm and a network of inns against powerful new enemy factions, including the ravenous beastmen, duplicitous coven and now the vicious Bloodsuckers. Curse of the Court is the third and final module of Kingdoms mode.
