AEW Collision 8/16/25
Still here at the Andrew J Brady Music Center in Cincinatti, Ohio! Tony Schiavone and Matt Menard are on the call, as we welcome the women’s world champion, Toni Storm!
Cincinatti sickos, lend me your ears. Athena is a history making, record breaking woman, but holy s, you are annoying. How many nicknames do you need? If Athena, is a goddess, then Toni must pray. Toni prays that Athena leaves London on a budget airplane with Toni’s assprint on her face! Here’s Toni Storm and Billie Starkz. Athena says without the grey scale and sexual innuendos, Toni would be nothing. If AEW is where the best wrestle, then why is this B on top? Billie Starkz takes Toni to the ring as Athena delivers an awkward promo. Hit Athena’s spotlight, bitches. Athena poses but here’s Mina Shirakawa! Athena and Billie duck out as Mina and Toni embrace.

Winners: Death Riders
Rating: ***1/2. This got really fun towards the end. JetSpeed always remind me how good they are, meanwhile… I love seeing bad guys cheat to win, even if they’re clearly a cut above their counterparts here. Good opener.
A video package of Hangman and MJF is shown.
Match #2. Ricochet w/ Gates of Agony vs. Ace Austin
Austin controls the pace early as the fans are on Ricochet for being bald. Poor guy. Austin tries a springboard but Ricochet swipes the legs and Austin lands hard. Ricochet takes out Kaun by accident and Austin gets another two. Fireman’s carry by Austin but Ricochet goes to the eyes. Hair takedown by Ricochet and the Spirit Gun finishes this one.
Winner: Ricochet
Rating: **1/2. Seems like much of this match took place during the commercial, but Austin connected with the crowd and that’s what matters.
Renee is here with The Hurt Syndicate. They don’t care who wins the tag team tournament next week. The winners get hurt. MVP says there is no drama, except for whatever the internet nerds drum up.
The Paragon are with Renee. The word of the day is momentum, and here’s The Conglomeration. Roddy doesn’t seem to care about Ishii and Hologram, but he wants to make Kyle Fletcher pay.
Match #3. Lee Johnson & Blake Christian vs. The Paragon
Strong chops the soul out of Christian and Kyle comes in and delivers some roundhouse kicks in the corner. Johnson in and Kyle snap suplexes him, then delivers some ground and pound. High low by Paragon finishes this one.
Winner: Paragon
Rating: ***. This was quick and awesome. Kyle O’Reilly is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, and he may go down as a modern-day Bobby Eaton… at least, for my money.
The Conglomeration are here to celebrate and Roddy doesn’t want anything to do with it.

Winner: Kris Statlander
Rating: **3/4. All four women worked hard and this was all action, sans commercial break. Statlander looks strong in this one,
Tay Melo is here, as is Queen Aminata. Megan Bayne too. It’s a brawl now.
