Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick Is Very Confident In Grand Theft Auto VI’s May 2026 Release Date
Speaking during an interview with CNBC, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, has revealed said that he’s put a lot of confidence in Grand Theft Auto VI‘s May 2026 release date, which is good news for fans as it hopefully means we won’t be seeing another delay.
“My level of conviction is very, very high. Rockstar does have a lot of other things going on, but this is of course the primary focus,” adding that Take-Two is attempting not to “pump expectations. Rockstar’s whole stock in trade is to have these extraordinary expectations, and still to beat them,” he added. “I know that’s their goal. I know it’s gonna be an amazing game. The rest we’ll see in the fullness of time.”

Zelnick previously indicated that GTA VI will carry a “fair price,” although chatter about a possible $100 price tag for the upcoming crime romp still continues to gather pace.
Rockstar Games recently introduced a new trailer for the game that looks at Jason Duval, one of the game’s protagonist, as well as detailing a number of key characters in the game including Cal and Boobie. You can also check out a fresh batch of screenshots on the game.
GTA VI is scheduled for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 26, 2026.
