Halo: Combat Evolved Remake Will Reportedly Only Feature The Campaign
The long-rumoured revamp of iconic 2001 shooter Halo: Combat Evolved will reportedly eschew the multiplayer component, and will instead only feature the campaign.
That’s according to YouTuber RebsGaming, who claims in a new video that Project Foundry, which was showcased by Halo Studios as part of their Unreal Engine 5 research project, is “clearly based on Combat Evolved.” They added that according two sources, development of the Halo: Combat Evolved Remake kicked off in 2023, and is slated to launch in 2026 with only the campaign featured. Sources also state that it could see a release on PlayStation in addition to PC and Xbox.
