What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 5-6)
Welcome to another weekend! With July now in full swing, another six months of gaming has passed us by here in 2025 – with Microsoft having a killer lineup so far this year. The Xbox Game Pass drops haven’t slowed down either, with lots of fresh titles to be tackling via the service on Xbox & PC.
Here’s what we’re playing this weekend:

Another Call of Duty game landed on Xbox Game Pass last week, which I’m going to spend a bit of time with this weekend. As I already spoke about here on the site, I think COD: WWII is one of the best series entries in recent memory, and still serves as one of the franchise’s best examples of modern tech meets classic Call of Duty sensibilities. I’ll be stomping some Game Pass noobs over there this weekend.
Other than that, I don’t think I’ll get around to much more gaming to be honest. I did want to try out Rematch after Fraser’s glowing write-up, but I haven’t got around to that one just yet. Here’s hoping I get time to squeeze in a game or two on there as well!
Have a great weekend, folks.

I definitely need a rest after this week! You won’t see me much on Pure Xbox over the next couple of days, but I’ll be playing some Xbox games – in fact, I’m hoping to play one in particular that I can’t talk about just yet. I’ll have a review for it on the website pretty soon though, and I’m crossing my fingers it’ll live up to the hype.
Beyond that, I’m thinking Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Cricket 24, maybe some Baldur’s Gate 3, maybe even some Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. There’s plenty for me to catch up with on Xbox Game Pass as well, and I still haven’t finished South of Midnight or Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 yet. I’ll get there – it’s just been a busy year so far!
Have a good weekend, folks.
