Sagat Brings Home The Pain To Street Fighter 6 On August 5

Muay Thai expert and all-around Street Fighter legend Saga is finally making his way to Street Fighter 6 on August 5, 2025, Capcom has announced.

Saga joins Street Fighter 6 as the latest post-launch character for the game, which has seen consistent support from Cacpom with new fighters since the game’s launch just over two years ago. Players will be able to enjoy this latest character with full Cross-Play on PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S, and Sagat himself will also be taking on the role of a new Master in the Street Fighter 6 World Tour .

Elsewhere, Capcom revealed that seven characters from Street Fighter 6 — Cammy, Luke, Chun-Li, Manon, Jamie, Kimberly, and A.K.I —will receive special swimwear as part of Outfit 4, which launches alongside Sagat on August 5. Meanwhile, the Capcom Pro Tour continues with Cacpom Cup 12 running from March 11 — 15, 2026, and will take place in Tokyo’s Ryogoku Kokugikan Arena, offering a grand prize of one million dollars.

Street Fighter 6 was released on June 3, 2023 for PS5, PS4, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving earlier this month. You can read our full review here. Capcom recently launched Street Fighter 6 Years 1 – 2 Fighters Edition, which compiles the base game and all DLC from the game’s first two years.
