Unept’s Levil Devil won Best Mobile Game at the Gamescom LATAM BIG Festival awards ceremony on Wednesday night.

Awards were presented across 16 categories on the night, with winners selected by a jury of 46 members. The show celebrated games from Latin America and around the world.

Former Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide head of indies Shuhei Yoshida was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Awards for his decades of work in the industry.

Meanwhile, the Game of the Year accolade, along with a R$5,000 ($880) prize, went to Nine Sols from Red Candle Games. Best Game: Latin America was given to LCB Game Studio’s Grizzly Man and Best Game: Brazil was awarded to Hammer 95 Studios’ Mullet MadJack

  • Best Art: Naiad (HiWarp)
  • Best Narrative: Neva (Nomada Studio, published by Devolver Digital)
  • Best Gameplay: Animal Well (Shared Memory, published by Bigmode)
  • Innovation Award: Sol Cesto (Geraud Zucchini and Chariospirales, published by Goblinz Publishing)
  • Best Mobile Game: Levil Devil (Unept, LLC)
  • Best Multiplayer Game: Bang Bang Barrage (Monkey Bread, published by Spiral Up Games)

More winners based on event attendee votes will be announced on Sunday night.
