Survival Climbing Game Carin Confirmed For PS5, Arriving Later This Year
Carin, the new survival climbing game from The Game Bakers, the same studio behind Furi and Haven, will be coming to PS5 alongside its PC release when it arrives sometime later this year.
Revealed in summer 2024, it was originally confirmed for “consoles and PC,” but was only actually confirmed to be arriving on PS5 earlier on Tuesday.
The Game Bakers is a studio that, like many other indie studios, is always open to trying new things. But few teams have consistently made it their mission to branch out with each new game, making something totally different than what came before.
Furi, for example, was a high-octane boss-rush game, that still stands tall among modern action titles. That was followed by Haven, a narrative-focused game based on two characters in a relationship, with the little combat it included being turn-based, and most of the game revolving around their growing relationship.
Carin, now, is once again entirely different, as a game focused on a singular character, free-climbing a mountain. A demo of the game was featured during Steam’s first Next Fest event for 2025, and that same demo is still live, if you want to give it a go yourself ahead of its release later on in the year.
In the meantime, you can check out this trailer below.
