Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Movie Set To Release In 2027, Confirms Paramount

There have been three Sonic the Hedgehog movies so far, and a fourth one is incoming, Paramount has confirmed. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is set to arrive on March 19, 2027.

It should be no surprise that another movie is on its way, since after three films, the Sonic Cinematic Universe made over $1 billion at the box office.

There are no details yet as to what we’ll see from this fourth movie, who will direct and where the story established in the last three films will go, though it’s reasonable to expect that Jeff Fowler, who directed the first three films, will return for the fourth.

When the first Sonic film released back in 2020, no one could have predicted that it would be as successful as it was, and that with the next two subsequent films it would earn more than a billion at the box office.

In a big way, that first Sonic film blazed a trail towards the growing number of video game to TV/film adaptations we have today.
