Xbox Is Giving Away Free Gift Cards For The Countdown Sale 2024

It’s been a while since we did one of these, but yes – it’s happening again! Microsoft is giving away free Xbox gift cards to select users as part of the Xbox Countdown Sale 2024, redeemable from now until the end of January.

To see if you’ve been picked for one, you’ll need to head to your Xbox messages (“Chats”) and see if there’s anything in there about the Countdown Sale from Xbox. You can see an example of what you’re looking for below:

There are times when these appear to be really widespread, but on this occasion, we’re only seeing a few examples here and there. It seems the gift cards might be restricted to Xbox users in the United States for the time being, but there’s every chance they may extend to other regions soon as well – it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out!

The only thing we’d say is to remain vigilant with stuff like this. Bots and scammers can sometimes invade your Xbox messages, so if you spot anything dodgy that doesn’t appear to be directly from Xbox, you shouldn’t engage with it.
