Helldivers 2 Has Drummed Up 15 Million Players Worldwide Since February Launch
Arrowhead Game Studios announced at the Golden Joystick Awards overnight that Helldivers 2 has eclipsed the 15 million player milestone.
To put this figure into a bit more context, Helldivers 2 was reportedly to have reached 12 million players in May 2024, so it’s since gained three million more players since that time. It’s certainly an impressive figure, although perhaps not surprising to hear seeing as how Helldivers 2 has remained one of the biggest games of the year across PS5 and PC.

Helldivers 2 managed to scoop four awards alongside Final Fantasy VII Rebirth at last night’s Golden Joystick Award, although it was Black Myth: Wukong that ultimately bagged the Ultimate Game of the Year gong.
Helldivers 2 takes place one century after the Super Earth and Democracy triumphed over the Cyborgs, Bugs, and Illuminate, which was depicted in the original game. However, a new threat has emerged in the shape of the Automatons, a mechanised army that has set its sights on wiping out humanity.
