Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s latest patch means players can finally use arrow keys for movement

A new patch for Dragon Age: The Veilguard is now live on Steam, making dozens of bug fixes and a number of quality-of-life changes, including the long-overdue ability to use the arrow keys instead of WASD for movement.

This might sound like a relatively small thing, but for some people it’s a big deal. The issue is simply that WASD layouts are difficult or impossible for some players to use because they’re surrounded by a whole bunch of other keys: As Veilguard player Tim Zandbergen told me earlier this month, “WASD would make my arm press all kinds of other buttons, so the arrow keys are ‘key’.” Players on both Steam and the EA forums have been asking for the ability to remap movement controls to arrow keys, which were previously reserved for moving the map around, and with this update they finally can stop moving the map and start moving their gams.
