Guilty Gear Strive Update 1.40 Brings Queen Dizzy DLC, New Avatar & Theme

Arc System Works has deployed a fresh update for Guilty Gear Strive, which adds support for a new playable character, Queen Dizzy. In addition, there’s also a new theme and avatar to accompany Queen Dizzy, plus some general fixes. You can read the full details in the Guilty Gear Strive update 1.40 patch notes below.

General / All Modes

• New Playable Character: Queen Dizzy is now available as a playable character (requires “GGST Season Pass 4” or “Queen Dizzy” DLC).
• Queen Dizzy Theme: Added “Radiant Dawn” as a background track; requires Queen Dizzy to be selectable.
• Avatar Items: New avatar items for Queen Dizzy, obtainable through the “fishing” feature.
• Gallery Mode BGM Additions:
  • “Awe of She” (Dizzy’s theme from Guilty Gear XX).
  • “One Dawn” (Dizzy’s theme from Guilty Gear Xrd).
• New BGM Track: “Get Over Nightmares” (Sin vs. Ky theme), plays automatically with BGM set to “Auto” during this matchup or can be manually selected from the Character Select screen.
• Credits Roll Footage: New credits roll footage featuring “Shelter from the Rain” track, available after completing Arcade Mode with Queen Dizzy (not accessible in Gallery Mode).
• End-User License Contract Updates:
  • Updated end-user license contract with an external link for easy access.

Battle-Related

• Animation Fixes: Addressed minor visual issues impacting specific battle animations.
• Battle Version Update: The Battle Version is updated from Ver. 3.07 to Ver. 4.00, with further details provided in official notes.
