Lots Of Games Are Discounted By 90% On Xbox This Weekend (October 26-27)
G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout Digital Deluxe isn’t bad for 5 bucks. It’s not Space Marine 2 by any means, but it’s not bad once you get used to it. Change the Control Type to Shooter and focus on quick bursts with the Aim Assist rather typical Third-Person Shooter gameplay. Obviously being a fan of the material in some way helps, and it having a Local Co-Op Campaign and Local Multiplayer adds value. Multiplayer plays like a weird, watered down, Third-Person Goldeneye, fun in its own way. And much like GoldenEye you unlock modifiers for the Campaign every Chapter you beat. Collectables, unlocks, & Stage-specific Achievements add a bit of replayability in addition to the Local play options.
tl;dr: It’s not G.J. Joe’s War for Cybertron. But if you can get used to it or are a fan of the material, it’s worth the $5. Just don’t pay more than that.
