Square Enix details how to unlock New Game+ and new difficulty options in Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven arrives on Switch on October 24th, 2024. A free demo is available as well, which will carry your progress over to the full game should you choose to purchase it. Ahead of the game’s release, Square Enix has revealed details on how to access New Game+ should you want another reason to run through the game.

In order to access New Game+ in Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven, you’ll have to beat the titular seven and also topple the Dread Queen. If you pull that off, New Game+ will be added to the main menu. When you jump into New Game+, here’s what will carry over from your last playthrough:

• Field Map Status
• Inventory (some items)
• Maximum BP
• Maximum HP
• Mr. S Stickers
• Overall Standing
• Spell Levels
• Tech Levels
• Unlocked Abilities

Along with fulfilling the requirements to unlock New Game+, you’ll also gain access to two more difficulty settings: Expert and Romancing. As you might expect, Expert ups the challenge from the base game, while Romancing is the toughest way to play the game. You better beef up your stats on subsequent playthroughs if you intend on tackling what Romancing difficulty has to offer!
