ATLUS to celebrate Unicorn Overlord’s 1 million sales milestone with a live-stream event

Unicorn Overlord came to the Switch earlier this year, and it’s proven to be quite the hit. The game faced physical sellouts in Japan right out of the gate, and it seems the rest of the world was quite eager to get in on the action as well.

ATLUS mentioned awhile back that the game had reached 500k sold, but just last week, we learned that Unicorn Overlord had achieved 1 million units sold worldwide. Some celebratory art was released to mark the occasion, but now we know ATLUS has even bigger plans in mind.

ATLUS and developer Vanillaware have ravealed a Unicorn Overlord special program broadcast for Japan, and it’s set to air Oct. 4th, 2024. You’ll be able to enjoy the live-stream event through the embed above, but sadly it will only air in Japanese.

As for what to expect from the stream, Takayuki Ishii, the Japanese voice actor for Nigel will be hosting the whole thing, while voice actors for Alain and Scarlett in the Japanese version, Kazuki Ura and Hina Suguta, will be guests. Results of a survey will be shared with feedback coming from those who’ve completed the game, and new Unicorn Overlord merch will be revealed.

The Unicorn Overlord special program broadcast will air Oct. 4th, 2024 at 7 AM ET.
