Nintendo has Splatoon 3 video taken down due to sexual content
We all know that Nintendo fiercely protects their intellectual properties. The company is constantly going after content creators due to mods, hacks, emulation and more, but this time around they’ve targeted a YouTuber who released Splatoon 3 content that certainly didn’t align with the intended age range for the franchise.
Splatoon content creator “Liora Channel” has released a ton of Splatoon content over the years, and its been safe for all ages. That changed recently when the channel uploaded a video that interviewed “Splatoon Girls” to get some insight into their dating habits.
The video quickly delved into female Splatoon 3 players and what they do in their personal lives. The conversation led to the women discussing how they’ve dated so-called high-profile Splatoon 3 players, which they apparently admitted to having casual sex with. As you can guess, once Nintendo caught wind of the topics discussed in this video, they set out to take it down.
Less than 24 hours after the video was posted online, it had been yanked by Liora Channel. The channel specifically said that Nintendo was behind the takedown, as the Big N found the video to be “unacceptable.” Liora Channel says they will steer clear of creating sexual content in relation to Nintendo’s software going forward.
