A Stellar Blade Demo Was Mistakenly Published On The PlayStation Store And Soon After Taken Down, But Not Before Some Players Hit ‘Download’
UPDATE 08/03/24: Reports reveal that even players who were able to download the demo have been locked out of it, and can no longer play it. Unless you disconnected your console from the internet immediately after downloading the demo, you can no longer play it.
Original Story:
Stellar Blade is a highly anticipated and hyper-stylized upcoming action game from Shift Up, and while it’s not due to release until this coming April 26, 2024, we now have confirmation that players will be able to try out a demo, before buying.
How has that been confirmed? Because the demo accidentally went live on Friday on the PlayStation Store in the US and other regions, and was soon after taken down, confirming it had been mistakenly put up.
The take-down was not fast enough for the internet though, and multiple players were able to download the demo to their PS5 consoles. Now, plenty of people have played the demo, and gameplay is surfacing online.
While unfortunate for those players that missed out, it is good to know that a demo will be available for those who want to try it first, and thanks to PlayStationSize on Twitter, we know you’ll be able to transfer your save files from the demo into the full game.
