Rockstar Games Institutes Five Days A Week Return To Office Mandate As Grand Theft Auto VI Development Ramps Up

Grand Theft Auto VI is likely going to be the game of a generation, coming off the heels of Grand Theft Auto V, which was also that kind of game.

It’s no understatement to say that its launch will be a big deal, and now that we finally know Rockstar is actually approaching a release date sometime in 2025 it’s announced a change leading up that.

A report from Bloomberg reveals Rockstar is instituting a five days a week return to office mandate, a move that according to the studio is one made out of security concerns.

Whether those concerns really warrant this move or not, the fact remains that the reveal trailer for GTA VI leaked before Rockstar had a chance to reveal it the way the team had planned.

In an email Bloomberg acquired to Rockstar developers from Jenn Kolbe, head of publishing, Kolbe said “making these changes now puts us in the best position to deliver the next Grand Theft Auto at the level of quality and polish we know it requires, along with a publishing roadmap that matches the scale and ambition of the game.”
