Xbox’s Antstream Arcade Is Adding These 27 Bandai Namco Classics
You may recall that back in mid-November, the retro cloud streaming service Antstream Arcade announced that it would be losing 27 games due to the end of its Warner Bros. partnership, but now it’s regaining another 27 games (at least on Xbox) in the form of a new deal with Bandai Namco.
All of these games have been available with Antstream Arcade before, but some have never properly shown up on Xbox. The reason for this was an “unforeseen licensing issue” back at launch in July, which has clearly now been worked out.
Here’s a mention of that “licensing issue” from a few months ago:

Here’s what the CEO of Antstream, Steve Cottam, had to say about this in a press release last week:
“Bandai Namco Entertainment games are some of the most culturally important games in gaming’s history and having support from forward-thinking companies like Bandai Namco Entertainment is critical to the efforts of game preservation that will help ensure that arcade classics can continue to be enjoyed by the next generation of gamers through innovative services like Antstream Arcade”.
In addition to these Bandai Namco titles, Antstream Arcade has also added some other great games on Xbox recently including the PS1 classic Glover! We’ve covered the full list of Antstream titles elsewhere on Pure Xbox:
