NEW AAA PLAYSTATION GAMES we want to see at Gamescom 2026 | THE LAST OF US 3 and UNCHARTED 5

Today we’re taking a look at the biggest PlayStation exclusive game announcements we hope to see at State of Play during Gamescom 2026 later in August 2026.

Santa Monica Studio recently announced that God of War: Laufey will launch exclusively for PlayStation 5 on February 16, 2027, while creative director Cory Barlog also teased that a future God of War game centered on Kratos is currently in active development and directly tied to Laufey’s story. Hopefully, we’ll get extended gameplay of Stellar Blade 2 and the God of War Trilogy Remake, along with the first gameplay reveal of the Silent Hill Remake.

We also expect to get new updates on Hideo Kojima’s Physint, as well as the long-awaited Project Awakening, whose developers recently confirmed that, despite years of rumors and more than a decade in development, the game is still planned for release. Fans are also hoping for major announcements such as Uncharted 5, Final Fantasy IX Remake, The Last of Us Part III, and the long-awaited sequel to Days Gone. Enjoy!
