Chelsea Green Injured During 8/7 Episode Of WWE SmackDown

Chelsea Green reportedly suffered an injury during the August 7 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Green teamed with Tiffany Stratton against WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid on the August 7 show. Green and Stratton came up short, with Green taking the pin after Henley and Reid connected with their Rolling Encore finishing move.

Following the match, Lash Legend and Nia Jax hit the ring and attacked both Green and Stratton.

According to Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com, Green was injured at some point during the match, although the nature and severity of the injury remain unclear.

“Chelsea Green was injured during the match on Smackdown last night,” Alvarez reported. “We don’t know the exact injury at this point but hopefully she won’t be out of action too long.”

The injury comes less than a week after Green captured the Interim WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2026. Green won a ladder match featuring Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Lash Legend and Tiffany Stratton to claim the title.

Green was also in action at WWE’s live event in Fairfax, Virginia on Thursday night, teaming with Flair and Stratton for a victory over Fatal Influence.

UPDATE: Chelsea Green confirmed the injury reports via social media, revealing she suffered a broken orbital bone.
