Grand Theft Auto VI Retail Prices Unveiled Ahead Of Pre-Order Launch

Rockstar Games has officially unveiled the prices for Grand Theft Auto VI ahead of the game’s pre-order launch on June 25th. Two editions of the game were announced today. The game’s standard price is set at $79.99, and the Ultimate Edition is set at $99.99 in the United States of America and €79.99 for the standard and €99.99 for the Ultimate Edition in the United Kingdom.
Grand Theft Auto VI is now the second high-profile title to launch its standard edition at $79.99. Nintendo drew backlash when they announced that Mario Kart World would retail for $79.99 last year.

The industry was thrust into a panic as many consumers thought this would be the standard for high-profile AAA titles. Surprisingly, GTA VI is only the second game to retail at the higher price.
Grand Theft Auto VI is shaping up to be quite possibly the biggest video game launch of all time. It’s been over twelve years since Grand Theft Auto V was originally released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and the wait has been excruciating for fans.
Grand Theft Auto VI takes us to a modern-day Vice City and appears to feature dual protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Not much else is known about the game or its characters, but with the game’s launch just a little over four months away, more information is sure to start pouring in.
