Report: Xbox Has Had Multiple Offers For Arkane Studios, Marvel’s Blade Close To Completion

As Xbox and Microsoft continue to try and find a solution for Arkane Studios instead of closing the company down, it’s being reported this evening by Bloomberg that multiple offers have been submitted for the studio.

The outlet’s sources say Ubisoft and at least two other companies have provided bids, but Xbox has “not yet come to an agreement with any potential buyer”. It’s also said that Xbox has “weighed selling the studio to its management”.

An Xbox spokesperson simply provided Bloomberg with the following:

“A spokesperson for Xbox said the company is exploring options ahead of a December deadline and declined to comment further.”

According to the outlet, Arkane’s Marvel’s Blade project is expected to be released within the next year or two, but obviously could be in severe jeopardy if the studio ends up getting closed down.

All we know officially is that Microsoft has announced an extended deadline until December to hopefully figure out a way forward, and we’re sure everyone’s crossing their fingers that a suitable deal will be reached before long.

Let’s hope it all works out for the best and we’ll be playing Marvel’s Blade within a couple of years’ time.
