– As the show goes on the air, we get a live shot of Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn arriving to Pechanga Arena at the exact same time. Sami is talking on the phone and completely walks past Roman on his way to the ring.

Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn Segment

Sami Zayn: Alright. Alright, San Diego. I hear the noise. I see we got some haters in the house. But how many of you here tonight came to ride or die with The Last Real Good Guy?

– Roman Reigns makes his way down to the ring.

Roman Reigns: I didn’t think I’d be saying this, and I might be the only one in here saying this, but it’s good to see you.

– Sami Zayn hugs Roman Reigns.

Sami Zayn: Could not feel more the same, brother, could not feel more the same. Dude, I’ve been wanting to call you up, wanted to text you, but I just had to tell you this in person. So much of the stuff that you were telling me, when I was with you, and you were The Tribal Chief, telling me about what it means to be a champion, I get it now. I get it, the burden. The burden, oh my god.

Roman Reigns: The burden. I told you. Hey, he was listening.

Sami Zayn: Of course, you were talking about the burden. I get it now, I get it. And oh my god, the disrespect.

Roman Reigns: The Disrespect!

Sami Zayn: Oh my god!

Roman Reigns: It comes from every angle.

Sami Zayn: What are with these people?

Roman Reigns: I mean, the young guys, the old guys, everybody wants to disrespect us.

Sami Zayn: They think they’re us. They think they’re us.

Roman Reigns: They think they’re us.

Sami Zayn: It’s crazy, man. It all makes sense to me now, it really does. I didn’t get it before, I get it now, I have to tell you that, really.

Roman Reigns: Well, I appreciate that, but we’re skipping a step here. San Diego! Acknowledge Me!

Sami Zayn: I love this. I love this, it feels like old times, it feels like nothing has changed. Oh, man, you know, I think about the old times a lot, I really do. This is nice.

Roman Reigns: Speaking of old times, it’s funny you came here. It’s my show, but I have an opportunity for you. As a matter of fact, it’s not just an opportunity, some might think it’s a favor. We’re just talking about that burden, that giant responsibility that’s sitting on your shoulder right now. It’s tough to handle, everyone wants it. But that’s not even the most important title that you have, the most important title you ever had, Sami, is the title of Honorary Uce. And my question is, are we here to discuss these titles or are we here to discuss The 946? Are you here out of greed or are you here out of love, and are you here to serve The Bloodline?

Sami Zayn: Look, Roman, I’m not gonna lie, my time in The Bloodline was some of the most times of my life, definitely some of the best times in my career, we’re family, and that doesn’t go away. That means the world to me, and I don’t take that lightly, I really don’t. But you should appreciate this more than anybody, because now on SmackDown, now I’m the head of my own table. Now, I got to do things for me, I got to do things my own way, because just in case you didn’t notice, Roman, I am the Undisputed WWE Champion.

Roman Reigns: Sami, that’s a title, this is THE title.

Sami Zayn: You know, it’s so funny you say that, because wasn’t it like for 1,400 days this one was THE title and that was the B Title. But now that one is yours, so that’s the A Title, and now this is the B Title, so it kind of gets me thinking. Maybe it has nothing to do with which title it is, maybe it’s the arrogance of the man holding the title.

Roman Reigns: Or maybe it’s got nothing to do with the title at all, and maybe it’s got everything to do with the man holding the title. And maybe that title hasn’t meant shit since WrestleMania XL. This is THE title now.

Sami Zayn: Now, here’s what we’re not gonna do, we’re not gonna act like the WWE Championship isn’t one of the hardest things on the planet to do, and I did it. We’re not gonna sit here and minimalize my achievement, not you, not anybody. It took me 20 years to win this, do you understand? This is a one in a million, this is one in a billion. There are eight billion people on this planet right, but only one is the WWE Champion, and you’re looking at him. You know what? I’m so disappointed, this is not how I wanted things to go at all, alright. I respect you, you know that. We’re family, you know that. I didn’t want it to go down like this, I didn’t. But what really feels like disrespect, more than any of the words you’re saying, it’s the fact that you’re standing two feet away from me, and we have this match in just a few weeks at Crown Jewel, and you’re standing there like you’re not even sweating me. Like I’m not a threat, when, Roman, you better than anyone should know exactly what kind of threat I can pose. So, I don’t appreciate it.

Roman Reigns: You think I’m not sweating you? You think I’m disrespecting you? I know exactly who you are. And if I’m just being honest, if we’re looking at your track record, you might not even have that title by the time we get to Crown Jewel.
