What are the best teams for Durin in Genshin Impact?
Durin is an extremely flexible and capable sub-DPS, with the capacity to work in any team that needs pyro application. This is because of his two forms: white and dark. White is useful for AoE damage, while dark assists solo damage with vaporise and melt reactions. We mostly recommend sticking to his white form, as other pyro units are better for providing main DPS abilities. He uses Hexerei abilities, so he’s optimal in teams utilizing this, but he is able to provide pyro for burgeon, overload, swirl, vaporize, melt, and crystallize teams.
To use his off-field abilities, hit his elemental skill twice, then activate his burst. You can then swap to your main DPS. To use Durin’s on-field side, hit his elemental skill, then a normal attack, and then his burst. This will boost his own damage.

The best weapon for Durin is his signature five-star Sword, Athame Artis, as it uses his Hexerei capacities to boost his attack power and that of his party. Ability boosts are based on his extremely powerful elemental burst, which is the source of his competency as a Sub DPS, so it’s the perfect weapon for him – which makes sense, given it was designed for him.
If you haven’t been able to roll for his signature weapon, Freedom-Sworn is an excellent choice as a reaction-based weapon, and Mistsplitter Reforged is also a good pick. A four-star option would be Lion’s Roar or Wolf Fang.
