Adam Pearce On Potential Match In WWE: “No, But ..”
Adam Pearce has no plans to follow Nick Aldis back into the ring, but he isn’t completely closing the door.
The WWE Raw General Manager recently spoke with Love Wrestling and was asked about the possibility of making an in-ring return of his own following Aldis’ return to competition.
Pearce, 48, made it clear that wrestling again isn’t exactly high on his list of priorities.
“Less than zero interest in putting on my size 13, Stagecoach boots,” Pearce stated. “I am 48 years old and have no desire to put spandex on.”
Pearce jokingly explained why he believes WWE fans are better off without seeing him back in wrestling gear.
“You at home do not need to see a 48-year-old, bald Caucasian Adam Pearce wearing tights in 2026 or beyond,” he continued. “This is something that will detach retinas. So we’re gonna say no. But we will not ever say never.”
Pearce hasn’t wrestled a traditional singles match in WWE, though he has occasionally gotten physical during his time as an on-screen authority figure. Before joining WWE, Pearce had an extensive in-ring career that included five reigns as NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.
For now, Pearce appears content handling business as the General Manager of Monday Night Raw, even if his “never say never” comment leaves the door slightly open for something more down the road.
