Big Spoiler Update On Rumors About New Day’s Debut In AEW

More details have surfaced regarding the AEW World Trios Championship match planned for AEW All In: London.

“Hangman” Adam Page and Brodido (Brody King and Bandido) are scheduled to defend the AEW World Trios Championship in a multi-team match at the August 30 pay-per-view from Wembley Stadium. AEW has yet to officially announce which teams will be involved.

The champions issued an open challenge following a massive brawl on this week’s episode of Dynamite. The Demand, The Dogs, The Conglomeration and The Lethal Swirl were among those involved in the chaos and are expected to factor into the match.

Other potential participants have also been discussed. One source noted that the Bang Bang Gang and members of the Don Callis Family could be added to the field.

Perhaps the most noteworthy possibility involves Swerve Strickland. Strickland has expressed interest in competing in the match, with speculation that he could team with former WWE stars Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day.

Another source has since indicated that the idea of Strickland teaming with Kingston and Woods is considered “very likely.”

As of last week, Kingston and Woods were not officially signed with AEW, although there are said to be strong expectations within the company that they will ultimately arrive. There is also reportedly considerable excitement among AEW talent about the possibility, particularly because of the number of fresh tag team matchups that would become available.

AEW All In: London takes place Sunday, August 30 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
