AEW’s Eddie Kingston Pulled From ‘C4 Fighting Back’ Indie Event
Eddie Kingston will no longer be appearing at a scheduled independent wrestling event in Canada.
The AEW star had been advertised for C4 Wrestling’s Fighting Back 2026 event on Friday, August 14, a charity show benefiting the Canadian Cancer Society.
On Friday morning, C4 Wrestling announced that Kingston had been pulled from the event due to circumstances outside of the promotion’s control.
“We are deeply sorry to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control, Eddie Kingston will no longer be appearing tonight at our event,” the indie promotion announced (see post below). “We assure you the show is going to be incredible, and we will do our best to make up for the change. Please support if you are able to.”
Kingston had been scheduled to team with Ortiz and Gabriel Fuerza in a six-man tag team match against Sheldon Jean, Jessie V and Mark Wheeler.
Fighting Back 2026 marks the 15th annual edition of the charity event. The show takes place from the Preston Event Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and will stream live on IndependentWrestling.TV and YouTube beginning at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time.
