1FW Joining AEW For Rebel Heart Dynamite Doubleheader On 9/9

AEW will be joined by a Georgia-based independent promotion when Dynamite heads to Athens next month.

AEW will present a special “Rebel Heart” edition of Dynamite from Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia on September 9. One Fall Wrestling (1FW) has announced that it will hold a television taping both before and after AEW’s portion of the show that night.

1FW is owned by AEW wrestler and executive QT Marshall and was the first independent promotion to join the MyAEW service.

“The special television taping will take place both before and after AEW Dynamite, giving 1FW fans the opportunity to see their favorite stars compete on the biggest stage in 1FW history, while giving AEW fans the chance to see familiar faces and discover the champions and rising stars who have helped make 1FW Georgia’s number 1 promotion,” a press release said.

Marshall also thanked AEW President Tony Khan for giving 1FW the opportunity to be involved in what will be an important night for the company.

The September 9 episode of Dynamite is dedicated to Rebel (Tanea Brooks), who is battling ALS and is scheduled to appear at the show.

“I’d like to personally thank Tony Khan and AEW for giving 1FW the opportunity to be part of such an important night,” Marshall said. “For Tony to allow us to showcase 1FW before and after Dynamite means a great deal to everyone at 1FW. More importantly, this is about coming together for Rebel and supporting the fight against ALS.”

As part of the “Rebel Heart” event, AEW will make donations to I Am ALS and the Team Gleason Foundation, two organizations supporting the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Proceeds from special Rebel Heart T-shirts and bracelets will also benefit the organizations.

There will be no Collision taping alongside Dynamite that night, opening the door for the 1FW tapings. AEW Collision will instead air live from the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts on Saturday, September 12.
