All Pokémon Pokopia events – Pocket Tactics

Welcome to an adorable world, where there are Pokémon Pokopia events to add even more friendly faces to your camp. These limited-time occurrences crop up with exclusive rewards that you can’t get otherwise, so we highly recommend you find out the information here to fill your village roster a bit more.
You can also find all the available Pokémon Pokopia mystery gifts in our guide for even more goodies. Or, to look for your next friend, take a look at the entire Pokédex.
Current Pokémon Pokopia events
Zorua’s Hide and Sneak Contest
From July 19 – 27, you can take part in an event hosted by Zorua, where the key is to hide.
Upcoming Pokémon Pokopia events
There are no further Pokopia events scheduled.
Past events
You can access some of these events in the game by time-traveling. We don’t necessarily advise this, and it may get patched out, but if you miss an event, you can go back.
Wish Upon a Jirachi
June 23 – July 8
A new friend comes into Pokopia – it’s Jirachi, and they bring plenty of cosmic-themed furniture to decorate with, including a telescope, bedroom furniture, and wall stickers. To earn these rewards, you need to fulfil Pokémon’s wishes. How cute!
Sableye event
Similar to the Hoppip event, Sableye will appear in the Pokémon Center and will offer you items in exchange for crystal fragments. You can also get it to move in using its habitat.
Bulbasaur’s Jump Rope Contest
- April 19 to April 27, 2026
April Fools Day
Talk to Pokémon with a ‘…’ sign above their heads, and correctly answer three quizzes to get the reward: an inflatable, wibbly wobbly Sudowoodo!
More Spores for Hoppip
Can I still get Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff to move in?
While you can’t ‘properly’ get the cottonweed Pokémon to move in, as the event is officially over, you can do a Pokopia time skip by setting the date on your Switch to a day where the event is on, and meet them. By making the associated Pokopia habitats for the evolutions, you can get all three into your Pokédex.
Here are the habitats that Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff enjoy:
Yellow carpet
- Pokémon: Hoppip, Skiploom, Jumpluff
- Requirements: four dandy flowers
Field-trip friends
- Pokémon: Skiploom
- Requirements: one flower backpack, one lunch box, and one Hoppip water bottle
Dandelion lunchtime
- Pokémon: Jumpluff
- Requirements: one dandy flower, one flower cushion, one lunch box, and one flowery table setting
Where do I find cotton spores?
To buy the associated items from Hoppip in the Pokémon Center, you need cotton spores. ou can’t find them in Withered Wastelands, or Rocky Ridges – in fact, you can only find them on Pokopia Dream Islands. In order to take part in this event, you need to flag down a Drifloon and head to an island.
There, you can see the spores scattered around. Simply head up to one and press Y to pick it up, or hold Y to inhale it and its surroundings. Once you’ve collected a few, head back to the Pokémon Center, and you can trade them for items!
What are events in Pokémon Pokopia?
Most Pokémon games have events that pop up from time to time, offering raids for you to nab strong critters, or, in this case, cute extra furniture items to decorate with. The first event runs for a few weeks and grants a specific theme of items, so it’s likely that future events will be similar, but with a different theme. There’s also a chance that events rerun as the game ages.
You’ll know when an event is on, as when you load into the game for the first time in a day, you get a pop-up saying that “a Pokémon is talk of the town”, and that you should go to the Pokopia Pokémon Center to meet them.
It’s important to note that events are only available in towns that have completed the rebuild of the Pokémon Centre, and do not take place on Cloud Islands.
