How Well Do You Expect GTA 6 To Run On Xbox Series X|S?

The past few days have been exciting for fans of the GTA series, as Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that pre-orders for GTA 6 will start next week across Xbox and PS5, with the exact date set as June 25th.
We probably still won’t know much at that point aside from pricing details (and hopefully a third trailer might on the way), but it’s got us rethinking about how well this game will be able to run on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PS5.
It feels like we’re almost certainly looking at a 30FPS cap for all three of these consoles, with the possible exception of the PS5 Pro which might be able to go higher. Ultimately though, this is going to be a very demanding game.
We’re encouraged by the fact that GTA 6 is specifically being developed for consoles instead of PC at launch, so you’d think it’d be optimised really well for them – let’s not forget that GTA 5 was originally an Xbox 360 game that performed well enough until the next generation rolled around, and we’ll likely see a similar situation again here.
It’s impossible not to have a little bit of fear about the Xbox Series S version though. Microsoft’s lower-powered console has consistently managed to keep up over the past six years, but trying to make a game like GTA 6 run well on the system is surely proving a challenge for Rockstar. Then again, some incredible-looking titles have managed it!
Let’s hear from you, then – how well do you think GTA 6 will perform on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S? Do you think it’ll manage to hit a stable 30FPS? Maybe even go higher? Tell us in the comments down below, and feel free to discuss your thoughts on the PS5 and PS5 Pro versions if you’re interested in those as well.
