There’s one livestream that us cozy gamers care about more than all the others, and it’s the Wholesome Direct 2026. If you’re hoping for a quick round-up of upcoming games, teasers, release dates, and more, you’re in luck, as we’re going to run through all the major news from this year’s stream.
We’ve already got confirmed announcements lined up from games like Fields of Mistria, Discounty, and Momento – some of which will hopefully get a Nintendo Switch announcement – and we’re expecting a whole host of new cozy indie games to show up on our doorsteps.

Fields of Mistria
My favorite farming simulator turned magical mystery tour, Fields of Mistria, is finally releasing its 1.0 update on Steam on August 5. You’ll finally be able to get married, have babies, and there’ll be new mining levels and new characters. You can play it on Steam Deck, but as of yet, there’s no Switch announcement to be found.
Spirit Crossing
We got another look at Spirit Crossing, which is a collaborative life simulator that we know will come to mobile via Netflix Games. Open Beta testing is already live on mobile and has just gone live on Steam, so hopefully, you’ll get the chance to add it to your Steam Deck library imminently.
Moonlight Peaks
Creepy cozy farming sim Moonlight Peaks is coming to Nintendo Switch on July 7, and if you can’t wait for that, its demo is now live on all platforms. Check out the newest trailer below.
Discounty
Discounty is already on Nintendo Switch and handheld PCs, and is hitting your consoles with a free update in July, offering 35 new items to stock, new housing, and town restoration. Nice. I’m determined to find out just what’s going on in this shady town. People over profit, by the way.
Hidden Folks 2
We know that the original game was on Nintendo Switch and mobile, so, though we don’t know for sure yet, there’s a good chance this sequel will be, too. We’re really excited for this one with its quirky art and musical direction. It comes out in 2027.
Lou’s Lagoon
Relaxing exploration and summertime beach adventuring awaits you in Lou’s Lagoon, coming to Switch on August 27. The demo is out on Steam now, in case you can’t wait for the full release.
The Wandering Village: The Last Leviathan
A DLC is coming for this city-builder, which out now on Switch and Switch 2. As of yet, we don’t have a release date, but we’re sure it’ll be announced soon.
Deer & Boy
Deer & Boy is coming to Nintendo Switch on June 23. Go travelling with your deer across the lands and discover the secrets waiting for you. We’re excited for this one, it looks cute!
Momento
Momento is out on Steam right now and is coming to consoles, including the Switch on June 30. We loved the demo of this one and can’t wait to pick up our Switch edition at the end of the month – it’s great for Unpacking enjoyers.
Cozy Grove 2
After a long tenure as an exclusive on Netflix Games, Cozy Grove 2 is finally coming to Switch and Switch 2 on July 15. Yippee! It’s time to get to work to make our camps as cute as possible.
Go-Go Town!
Go-Go Town! is coming to Switch and Switch 2, and years after the announcement was made, we finally have a release date – July 16. It’s about to get wacky in this funky cartoon town.
Loftia
Lotifa is a cozy MMO that reminds me a bit of Heartopia (hopefully without the generative AI). It’s coming to Steam in Fall 2026, but will be on Nintendo Switch systems at some point. Score.
Moomin: Midsummer Madness
Coming to Switch and Switch 2 this year, the newest Moomiun game looks like an unbelievably relaxing vibe. Get stuck into the latest shenangians as a flood strikes Moomin Valley. Did someone say underwater adventures?
Hela: of Mice & Magic
Live out your forest dreams with Hela and a friend in this 3D co-op game, which will also arrive on Nintendo Switch at some point – we don’t have a release date yet, but you can still get hyped!
Walk the Frog
Walk the Frog is an adorable froggie puzzle adventure coming to Switch consoles. You’ll need to piece together post-it notes for the frog friend to walk along. Its cartoony style is sure to win us over, but it doesn’t have a release date just yet, so stay tuned.
