Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Movie Has Officially Wrapped Filming

Jeff Fowler has revealed in a post on X that filming on the fourth Sonic the Hedgehog movie has now wrapped, and unsurprisingly, he reckons it’s the best one yet.
“And that’s a wrap on [Sonic the Hedgehog 4]!!! On behalf of this amazing cast/crew, we have filmed the BEST Sonic Movie yet and can’t wait to share,” said Fowler.
Of course, these days having filming completed doesn’t mean that the movie is done and dusted. Post-production duties need to happen before a movie is fully complete, and in Sonic’s case, it’s a CG-heavy feature that will require months of work for effects and other key details. The movie is scheduled arrive in cinemas in March 2027.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will feature two new characters to join the Blue Blur’s cinematic outings, namely Amy Rose and Metal Sonic, who made their debut in 1993’s Sonic CD for the Mega CD. Both characters were teased at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and it was later revealed that Kristen Bell would be playing Amy.
