Mina the Hollower release date confirmed for May 29
Indie developer Yacht Club Games has finally announced a release date for its upcoming action-adventure title, Mina the Hollower. We say “finally” with love as this is one game we’ve been waiting some time for.
That’s right, the next big title from the team behind fan-favorite Shovel Knight is almost here. The 8-bit title is now set to hit both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on May 29. Yep – that’s only a few short weeks away.
Mina the Hollower has had quite a history. It began life in 2022 as a Kickstarter campaign. Last year, an initial release date of October 31 was revealed alongside a playable demo. A few weeks before launch, the team revealed it needed more time to polish the game before release, pushing things back to 2026.
Cut to last month and Yacht Club Games announced that Mina the Hollower had gone gold. Now, the team is ready once again with a renewed release date of May 29.
Mina the Hollower is a top-down adventure in the style of classic Zelda outings. In the game, you’ll play the role of Mina, a small mouse on a big adventure. You’ll explore a huge, dark world brimming with secrets, challenging battles, and interconnected level design.
