With our excitement around the Black Flag remake pretty high, then, we want to know you feel about that project – and indeed how you feel about remakes in general on Xbox. Does something like this still excite you in 2026? Are you done with this sort of thing and more than happy to go back and play the originals if and when you want to?

Another thing worth mentioning with all of this is that, as the generations go on and backwards compatibility becomes more robust, it really is quite easy to go back and play the older versions of some of these games that get remade. Black Flag was a launch-era Xbox One game, and is still totally playable on modern Xbox hardware. That definitely helps make a compelling argument for skipping the remake!
