WWE NXT Superstar Undergoes Hip Surgery, Calls It A “Minor Setback For A Major Comeback”

Another WWE NXT Superstar is on the sidelines due to injury.

WWE NXT’s Tyson Dupont of the High Ryze tag-team with Tyriek Igwe, who last wrestled back in late-February at the non-televised WWE NXT live event, surfaced via social media on Wednesday with an update.

In a video shared via X that shows him laying in a hospital bed, Igwe revealed that he is scheduled to undergo hip surgery to repair an injury that has been causing him hip pains dating back to July of 2025.

“Today’s the day,” Igwe stated in the video. “Finally getting hip surgery. I’ve been dealing with some pain in my hip for a very long time, since about July of last year. Pushed through to the best I could to make sure I didn’t miss any opportunities.”

Igwe continued, “But, God’s timing. When it’s time, it’s time so, today we’re taking care of that. Minor setback for a major comeback. The Brick will be back in no time. But until then, best believe the grind continues. We’re still chasing greatness because the best is always yet to come. Let’s get it.”
