Amazon Unveils First Look At Kratos And Atreus In Its God Of War Live-Action Series

Amazon has officially lifted the wraps off our first look at its live-action God of War series with images of Kratos (Ryan Hurst) and Atreus (Callum Vinson) striking a pose that is highly reminiscent of a scene from 2018’s soft reboot on PS4.

Check it out below.

The God of War live-action series has been on a casting marathon this past few months, with confirmation of the numerous characters from both God of War and God of War Ragnarok confirmed. Among these includes Ed Skrein as Baldur, Max Parker as Heimdall, Alastair Duncan as Mimir, Mandy Patinkin as Odin, and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as Thor. The plot will seemingly follow both games, with Kratos and Atreus journeying to the highest peak of the realms to scatter the ashes of Kratos’ second wife, Faye.

Production on the God of War series is set to kick off in March 2026 in Vancouver, Canada, and has already secured an order of two seasons ahead of filming. A premiere date has not yet been confirmed at this early stage.
