Wolfenstein 3 Casting Call Reveals Performance Capture Is Set To Begin Later This Year And Run Into 2027

MachineGames is reportedly kicking off performance capture for Wolfenstein 3 later this year, according to a casting call unearthed by MP1st.

According to the casting call, Wolfenstein 3 is going under the codename Valkyrie and the process of performance capture is expected to run into next year. The call reveals details on a character named Sofiya, who is an orphan aged between 8 — 11 and hails from Ukraine. She also has a pet pooch named Ralph, and the pair will form a bond of sorts with franchise protagonist, William B.J. Blazkowicz.

While initially suspicious and traumatised by war, she blooms under the care of the resistance (possibly referring to the Kreisau Circle) as a strong-willed survivor,” the casting call reads.

The new Wolfenstein game is something that MachineGames has been eager to get around to doing, after previously working on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. In late 2025, Jerk Gustafsson, studio head at MachineGames, said the developer wanted to follow up New Colossus, remarking “we have a story to tell” and telling GamesIndusry.biz earlier this mont that the team “wanted to finish the trilogy.”

Back in January this year, Kotaku sources verified that Wolfenstein 3 was in development, which aligns nicely with the fact Amazon Prime is working on a TV series based on the franchise.
