90s-flavoured first-person shooter Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War! launches March 16, 2026 for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S, Dotemu and Auroch Digital have announced.
Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War! weaves an original storyline in the popular bug-blasting sci-fi franchise, where you’ll join the Mobile Infantry in an attempt to safeguard humanity from the Arachnid threat. The limb-ripping bugs have spread far beyond their hone planet, having invaded humanity territory across the galaxy, so it’s up to you to burn, dismember, and cripple the Arachnids before they spell doom for the human race.
Players will be able to get their hands on an assortment of iconic Starship Troopers weaponry, including the Morita rifle, mechanical bipeds, tactical, nukes and more. Furthermore, the legendary General Johnny Rico returns in full-motion video clips, played by Casper Van Dien from the cult 1997 movie Starship Troopers. And let’s face it, that’s really all the encouragement you need as you leads your squad through massive battlefields presented with a glorious retro aesthetic!
