Lies Of P Publisher Outlines Plans To ‘Introduce Successful IP That Fans Will Continue To Support And Look Forward To’

Sean Kim, co-CEO of Lies Of P publisher Neowiz, has revealed during an interview with Game Informer that the company’s plans going forward is to deliver successful IP on a consistent basis, earning the support and enthusiasm from fans for the long haul.

Our goal is to consistently introduce successful IP that fans will continue to support and look forward to over the long haul, even five or ten years down the line. Currently, we are internally developing more than five new PC and console titles, while also focusing on discovering global IP through collaborations with Western studios such as Zakazane and Wolfeye.

Kim added that Neowiz plans to “continue investing” in “strong partners worldwide” as part of its strategy, while still focussing on homegrown talent including Wonder Potion and Lizard Smoothie, the teams responsible for Sanabi and Shape of Dreams, respectively.

Of course, the Lies of P franchise will need to be continued. That’s a given. In general, our development cycle does not begin with a particular genre. Instead, it starts with the creative vision of our directors. We tend not to begin development by fixating on a play-style or game concept first.

Neowiz has plenty of projects in the works, as it confirmed in November last year that the studio is working on four titles including a science-fiction survival horror title, a life simulation title, a narrative-RPG directed by Seungho Jin, and a Soulslike game.

Beyond that, a sequel to Lies Of P is also in the pipeline, and its game director recently stated that “I will not disappoint you at all” in regards to the project, which at the time of writing has still yet to be officially revealed.
