Street Fighter Movie Looks Ridiculously Over The Top In Game Awards Sneak Peek Trailer

The Game Awards 2025 offered the first look at the upcoming Street Fighter movie set to hit cinemas in October 2026, and if you’re a fan of the games, you should be pretty satisfied with what you’re about to see. It even has Guile smashing up the car from the bonus stage in Street Fighter 2!
Check it out below.
The Street Fighter movie is directed by Kitao Sakurai and features an ensemble cast including Andrew Koji (Ryu), Noah Centineo (Ken), Roman Reigns (Akuma), Cody Rhodes (Guile), Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson (Balrog), Jason Momoa (Blank), and Mel Jarnson (Cammy). The film is set in 1993, and focuses on Ryu and Ken as they are thrust back into combat the Chun-Li recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament.
Capcom’s fighting game franchise has of course been adapted twice before, the first being the notoriously good-bad movie, Street Fighter (1994), which feature Jean-Claude Van Damme as Guile and Kylie Minogue as Cammy. That’s since become a cult classic, which is more than can be said for 2009’s Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, a movie that represented the much-loved franchise so egregiously that it’s best forgotten about by, well, everyone.
Street Fighter hits cinemas on October 16, 2026.
