The God Slayer Is An Eastern-Flavoured Steampunk Action-RPG Coming To PS5 – Watch The Reveal Trailer Here

The God Slayer, an open-world action-RPG with a distinct Eastern flavour, is coming to PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, Pathea Games has announced. The title was originally announced in July 2023 as a PlayStation China Hero Project game, and has now received its first trailer, seen below.

The God Slayer is set in a sprawling metropolis inhabited by Celestials, powerful gods that rule the land with a divine fist. Players follow the story of an Elemancer, who refuses to bow to the will of the gods, and is infused with elemental powers thirst for vengeance; seeking to dethrone the Celestials, you will rise as the titular God Slayer. As Cheng, you seek revenge on your family who were brutally slain by the Celestials during the God Fall, sending you on a quest to save your people and bring the gods’ reign crashing down.

As an Elemancer, Cheng is able to harness his powers and enhance them during battle, acquiring new skills from ancient scrolls and elemental masters, allowing you to take on even the mightiest of Celestial. Furthermore, elemental powers interact dynamically in the game world as fire consumes wood, water extinguishes fire, and steam rises from boiling water; all of which can be utilised in battle to your advantage.

The God Slayer has yet to attract a release date.
