Grand Theft Auto VI Publisher Take-Two Is ‘Highly Confident’ In The Game’s November 2026 Release Date

Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, has revealed to IGN that he’s feeling “highly confident” in Grand Theft Auto VI‘s newly-announced release date of November 19. 2026. Rockstar Games announced overnight that the highly anticipated title had been pushed to late 2026 from its previous window of May 26, 2026.
When asked how confident he was in the new release date, the executive replied:
I’m highly confident. And at the same time, there have been limited circumstances where more time was required to polish a title and make sure that it was spectacular and that time has been well-spent, when our competitors go to market before something was ready, bad things happen. That said, that said, I’m highly confident on the new date.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Zelnick has expressed his confidence in GTA VI’s release date. He previously said the same thing about its May 2026 window, although at the time there was presumably no reason to think otherwise after Rockstar required the additional time to polish the title, pushing it out of its Fall 2025 window.
Grand Theft Auto VI is due out on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
