Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake Full Production Continues As Remedy ‘Build Steady Momentum From Earlier In The Year’

Max Payne 1 + 2 Remake has received a brief update by Remedy Entertainment during its latest financial report, with the developer confirming that the project continues in full production.

The Max Payne 1 + 2 remake project continues its progress and remains in full production. In the second quarter, the team build on steady momentum from earlier in the year. Collaboration with Rockstar Games remains close and productive, ensuring alignment as the project advances toward its next major phase.

Remedy has been providing brief updates on Max Payne 1 + 2 Remake over the past few months or so, and back in April this year said that the project had made advancements towards “major development stages.” Prior to that in February, Remedy revealed that Max Payne 1 + 2 was making steady progress.

The Max Payne 1 + 2 Remake entered full production in the second quarter of 2024, and will completely overhaul the classic bullet-time shooters originally developed by Rockstar Games for the PS2 and Xbox back in the early 2000s. Fans of the series were given sad news just before Christmas 2023, when it was confirmed that James McCaffrey, the voice actor behind the titular character, had passed away from cancer aged 65.

Remedy has yet to confirmed a release date for Max Payne 1 + 2 Remake.
