While the deals and the stats of the gaming world are important, nothing would happen without the research, funding and, of course, development that goes into making a great game.

So here’s a collection of the most exciting new mobile games right now, the developers and publishers behind them, and why, exactly, they’ve made the cut.

Talking Tom & Friends: World

New release roundup: Talking Tom & Friends: World, Mecharashi, Farlight 84 and more

A sandbox entry in the Talking Tom franchise, Talking Tom & Friends: World allows players to create their own avatar and get baking, host tea parties, play pranks with Talking Tom or socialise with the series’ many anthropomorphic cartoon characters.

Customisation takes centre stage with players able to paint rooms, change their décor and wear a wide range of outfits and hairstyles.

The launch follows weeks after Outfit7’s My Talking Tom Friends 2.
