QuakeCon 2025 is officially underway, with the largest LAN party in North America also being the place for exciting news for id Software titles. HERETIC + HEXEN IS BACK 

Originally developed by Raven Software and produced by id Software, Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders (1994) and its sequel, Hexen: Beyond Heretic (1995) would change FPS games forever. Delving into a fantasy world, players experienced fast-paced shooter combat combined with elements from role-playing games like engaging puzzles, deadly traps and character classes with unique skills and abilities. 

Now, Heretic + Hexen returns on modern platforms with the definitive re-release of these seminal shooters, enhanced with all-new features including local and online cross-platform multiplayer, community mod support, two brand-new episode expansions and more! Heretic + Hexen is available NOW for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, the Windows Store/Xbox Windows app, Steam and Good Old Games. 

ENTER THE RIPATORIUM IN DOOM: THE DARK AGES 

Available now for all players, DOOM: The Dark Ages’ second major update brings new challenges to conquer, combat enhancements, bug fixes and other improvements. 

Hone your skills in the new Ripatorium mode, pitting the DOOM Slayer against waves of demons in an all-thrills, no-frills arena of death. Crush Hell’s forces to unlock the Perfection Slayer skin and prove your might!
