Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection Adds MK Trilogy, Physical Editions Include $149.99 Kollector’s Edition

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection developer Digital Eclipse has confirmed that Mortal Kombat Trilogy will also be included in the retro fighting games compilation when it launches late this year, and has revealed three physical editions in the form of Standard, Deluxe, and Kollector’s Editions.

For those who aren’t familiar, Mortal Kombat Trilogy was originally released in late 1996 for the PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and Nintendo 64, and is an extended version of Mortal Kombat III that features stages and characters from the first two Mortal Kombat games. For example, The Pit, The Pit II, Goro’s Lair, and Living Forest are playable among other arenas, while classic Kano, Kung-Lao and Raiden are selectable. Boss characters including Goro and Kintaro are also playable.

As for the physical editions of the game, the Standard Edition includes a copy of the game on your chosen platform (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2), and an exclusive slipcover for preorder customers. Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition is priced at $69.99 on PS5 and Switch h2, and adds a Steelbook case, magnet poster, lenticular card, arcade flyers, and more.

Finally, the Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection — Kollector’s Edition features the game (PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch and Switch 2), an individually numbered kollector’s box, Goro controller holder statue, commemorative arcade token, hardcover art book, lore book and more.

Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection is due out later this year and includes a wealth of the classic 90s outings in the series, including Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, Mortal Kombat III, Ultimate Mortal Kombat III, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Mortal Kombat 4, Mortal Kombat Advance, Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, and Mortal Kombat Tournament Edition.
