Shinobi Art Of Vengeance Demo Is Out Now With Access To The Game’s First Stage
SEGA has announced that a playable demo is now available for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance across PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
The demo offers a look at the game’s first stage, Oboro Village, which is billed in the official blurb as an ‘enhanced version’ of the stage. Players will be able to try out various ninja arts as you master the skills of the shinobi, battling through hordes of foes and traversing platform segments. After beating the stage, you can test your skills further by going for the highest score in Arcade Mode and uncovering hidden paths.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is the brainchild of the same team behind Streets of Rage 4, and brings the classic franchise back to its 2D roots as an action platformer completed by hand-drawn visuals. Players control Joe Musashi, a legendary Shinobi, who sets off on a mission of revenge after finding your village burned to the ground and your clan transformed to stone. Along the way, you’ll battle against fierce enemies while exploring multiple locations such as military bases and scoring deserts, while solving platforming puzzles and unearthing secrets.
SEGA will publish Shinobi: Art of Vengeance on August 29, 2025.
