Ori devs gauging interest in bringing No Rest for the Wicked to Switch 2 (UPDATE)
Moon Studios has released two games so far; Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Both games were met with huge critical and commercial success, and Nintendo fans were lucky enough to see both titles make their way over to Switch.
Moon Studiosβ next game is No Rest for the Wicked, a complete departure for the studio in terms of visuals, presentation and gameplay. The game was revealed one year ago, but there was no mention of bringing the title to Switch. While that still remains the case, it seems like now thereβs a very good chance of title coming to Switch 2.
Following the reveal of Switch 2, the CEO and Creative Director of Moon Studios hopped on social media to stir the pot a bit with Nintendo fans. While he didnβt say No Rest for the Wicked is coming to Switch 2, he certainly floated the idea by sharing the following statement:
Cool, itβs finally announced! Whoβd like to see No Rest for the Wicked on Switch 2?
I mean, pretty much any Nintendo fan who is planning to get Switch 2 wants to see support from all corners of the game space, and a release from Moon Studios would no doubt be welcome. Still, if you want to really show your support for this idea and help convince Moon Studios to make this release happen on Switch 2, you can respond to the CEOβs comments here.
No Rest for the Wicked is a visceral, precision Action RPG that Moon Studios claims is βset to reinvent the genre.β You can read more about the title below via the official description.
The year is 841 β King Harol is dead. As word of his death echoes throughout the kingdom, the crown passes to his arrogant, yet untested son Magnus.
Even worse, the Pestilence, an unholy plague not seen for a thousand years, has returned. It sweeps across the land, corrupting everything and everyone it touches. Madrigal Seline, a ruthlessly ambitious figure in the church, sees the Pestilence as a chance to prove herself in the eyes of her god.
These forces converge on the backwater Isola Sacra, where rebel groups and the provincial government fight for control amid the isleβs crumbling ruins.
UPDATE 7/21: Once again, the CEO and Creative Director of Moon Studios has hinted at No Rest for the Wicked coming to Switch 2. In a new statement that casts doubt on the game heading to Xbox platforms, the CEO once again said that the game βmight only release on PS5 and potentially Switch 2.β Still not 100% confirmation on a Switch 2 version, but inching closer!
